What’s the Application Process Like?
We cannot say it is easy to apply, and we cannot say it is difficult. It takes a professional lash stylist to properly attach eyelash extensions. I will advise that you ascertain the level of experience of your eyelash stylist before getting an appointment. Here is how the application process looks like:
The first step is to apply eye patches to protect the eyes. Don’t apply it too close to the eye- about 4mm below the eyelid. Then the eyelash extensions are individually selected. Either the mink, sable or fox is selected individually in preparation for attachment.
Next, the individual lashes selected to be attached to your natural eyelashes are picked up and placed on a vinyl pad for easy accessibility. The lashes are then dipped into the glue for easy attachment to each lash—the glue as an adhesive. The tapered end of the extension is properly glued for a long-lasting effect.
Each of the natural lashes is separated with curved tweezers. The tapered end of the extension is then attached to the natural lashes. Enough glue spread on the lash to ensure its smoothness. After ensuring the lash is well-coated with enough glue, the extension is set about 1mm apart from the eyelid and separated from each other. The glued is dried for about five minutes and lubricated with distilled water.

Types of Eyelash Extensions
Lash extensions are the new generation solutions if you are looking to save some time when dressing up for work every morning. However, before you jump into getting an appointment with a lash stylist, learn about the types of eyelash extensions we have.
Eyelash extensions are divided into two forms: man-made materials or animal fur. The man-made eyelash extensions include Faux-Minx, Faux-Fox, Silk, Synthetic and Russian lash extensions, while the animal fur lash extensions include Mink, sable and fox lash extensions.
The mink lashes have origins from the Siberian and Chinese minks. If you are looking to portray a natural look, the mink lash extension is one of the best to try out. It is one of the closest you can get that resembles your own natural eyelashes. However, they can be expensive.
The sable lash extensions are more smooth, fine and fluffy than the earlier ones mentioned. If you are looking for a light eyelash extension, try out sable lash extensions. However, we will recommend you get another type if you are allergic to animal fur.
The fox lash extensions, on the other hand, are lightweight, soft, gentle, portraying a reddish look. It is usually the finest with black tips. However, it is not always available. The difference between animal furs and man-made eyelash extensions is that you need to perm the first to retain its curl while the latter doesn’t need to be permed.
